Omani student wins best engineering research paper

Muscat: A mechanical engineering student has been awarded a best research paper prize from a Malaysian university.

Thabit Khalifa Al Harthy,a student a Taylor’s University in Malaysia, said: “The award was too dear to my heart, as it is very special to me.”

Oman's Cultural Attaché office in Kuala Lumpur congratulated Thabit for winning the best research paper University at the Taylor’s Engineering Awards 2017.

This paper has won the admiration of the awards committee, which includes a group of professors specialized in the field of engineering. Thabit is in his last academic year of mechanical engineering. “This is the first part of the paper. In my second semester I will complete the next part and will carry my experiments” Thabit added.

The Cultural Attaché Office continues to encourage Omani students studying in Malaysia and urges them to exert more efforts and work hard in academic achievements.
