GUNN CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Two people were seriously injured in a crash Tuesday night, including a 7-year-old, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

State troopers responded to the crash just after 7 p.m. on April 1.

According to a report, a 25-year-old driver from Garden City, Missouri, was driving west on Gunn City Road when she went off the left side of the roadway. She overcorrected and her 1998 Volvo S70 overturned, ejecting both her and her 7-year-old passenger.

Neither were wearing seatbelts and they suffered serious injuries. The driver was taken to Research Medical Center in Belton while the child was airlifted to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
