Days ago, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev again made laughable attempts to threaten Armenia, declaring that they will isolate Armenia from all regional projects.

Naira Zohrabyan, a member of the National Assembly of Armenia delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), on Monday stated the aforesaid during the PACE debates on the recent snap parliamentary election in Armenia, at the PACE winter session that kicked off in Strasbourg, France.

“The revolution that took place [last year] in Armenia had no geopolitical context,” Zohrabyan noted, in particular. “Today it is already a new Armenia with new political realities, new political and economic agenda, and absolutely new quality of relations with the world.

“Days ago, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev again made laughable attempts to threaten Armenia, declaring that they will isolate Armenia from all regional projects. I continue to be optimistic and hope that such statements should not go unanswered (…).

“Armenia can become a country having a unique role in the region, and we are ready to establish a new quality of political and economic relations with our international partners.”
